Shopped out.

What a great few days! I worked yesterday by myself, but didnt have optomety, It was fairly busy in the morning with people coming in to pick up glasses, but the last 2 hours were dead which allowed me to catch up on a HUGE amount of paperwork, which I finished. I feel so organised. We dont have optometry tommorow either, so I will finish the rest of then. I got home yesterday just after 4 and went for my walk and then spent 3 hours cleaning the house top to bottom. It looks awesome, I wanted my sunday to be a day of leisure!.
Today, mum came and picked me up at 8am and we went to the big redcliffe markets, I got quite a few bargains!I got a black buisness shirt brand new for $4, it was too small for the lady selling it and she never wore it, it's a basque brand shirt from myers which normally cost a small fortune. I also got some pates pottery. Pates pottery is one of the most famous antique ceramic makers in Australia and they are very collectable, this lady's husband collected pates but had decided to scale down his collection to only the green and maroon era. I already had a pates green and brown vase in my art deco room, so was well pleased to get a decorative ashtray for $10! Its also going in the art deco room. I just need some hat boxes for that room, and it will be literally finished (bar some framing of pictures and making my curtains). I really really love japanese 50's ceramics and animal planters, my patio in the front is full of them. A lady at Redcliffe collects them and sells them with cactus in them. I have already gotten about 4 from her in the past, and this is my first time back at the markets for about 4 months. I got two lovely ones from here for $15 all up, a bird vase (I'm trying to limit one table to bird planters, and another to cats) and a gorgeous donkey one. I mentioned my love of flamingoes and low and behold she had two at home! She is going to fix one up, do some planting for them and phone me once there ready! Yeaaah! She went to florida for holidays, the home of kitsch flamingoes and picked them up there.
We got some fruit and vegies, some relishes and headed out of the heat, even at 8am it was scorching hot in the sun.
Back into mum's lovely car called IVY which has the best air conditioning in the world, we went along to Chermside. 4 hours later we were done! We were quite the happy shoppers, I put some awesome awesome clothes on layby, the fashion has gone totally 60's mod here, Lou lou would love it, all the Target designers stuff is amazing and very reasonably priced. I however went to Big W where I got big buttoned 3/4 cardigans in red, black and yellow for $20 each, 2 dresses in grey and black which had covered buttons, were jersey material and very slinky 40's with capped sleeves for $24 each, a rouched capped sleeve skivvy shirt for $15.00, an awesome grey leopard print cashmere cardigan for $20.00, a cropped top shop like jacket- 3/4 sleeves, huge buttons and sits on the waist in heavy twill for $30.00. I also got a pleated knee length skirt for $19.00, black white and grey flanellette leopard print jammies for $25.00 (no one quite loves flanellette jammies as much as me!). The clothes were totally amazing, and matched with all the stuff I got the other week at myers and target, I will be one greatly dressed mumma this winter!
www.target.com.au and www.bigw.com.au

We then ventured onto myers, where I got 4x Love kylie (kylie minogue) fishnet stockings which were reduced down to $6 each, two textured fishnet knee high socks for $4 each, a diamontee bow clip for my hair down to $6.00, some pink pearl drop earrings for $4.95 and some awesome spanish jewelled earrings for $6 which match a braclet I got from myers during the week which was reduced. I also bought two new rimmel lipsticks...they have discontinued my favourite colours, full on and hello...do they still do them in the uk? And had to get a colour called 9-5 and went a bit daring with a plum colour called bourdeaux. I normally always stick to pinkish tones and keep the red to if I'm going out at night as I can look a bit over pouty!
We had some sushi for lunch, my favourite food ever and mum picked up a beautiful dress from Target actually reduced down to $19. It had cross over straps and was baby doll in design, white with black spots and a big black ribbon under the boob. The skirt of the dress had two layers so it was nice and full. She is going to wear it out tot he Sofitel for her and dad's anniversary next month. I am on the look out for a black corsage so I can make a broach (thank you spotlight and yr broach making kits!) to attach to the ribbon under the bow. She got an awesome sparkly bag yesterday from Rockmans the shop next door to me at KippaRing which was reduced down to $10. I am tempted to get one myself as its sequinned and square and a good pratical size for a evening bag. We are just on the look out for a capelet or little cropped bolero-y sorta thing to wear with the dress.

On the way home we stopped at Tiki Boo to look at a mannequin for our room, the lady is willing to reduce it to $145 for us from $180. It is in perfect condition and has a lovely old fashioned curved feet. I want to show stevie first though. Whilst I was there I found a great sturdy cane like table with a drawer. It was for $28 and I only had $23 on me, so I got my lovely mum to bargain it down for me, which she did! Yay! The table is out on the deck as my poor little table was heaving with all the planters I had on it. It looks great holding all my bird related ceramics and has a handy drawer to put magazines in for when sitting on the deck. I just need another saucer chair out there and it will be complete. This Tuesday we are going to start to get qoutes for the painting of the house.

We are heading up to Montville and Maleny in April to stay at a beautiful bed and breakfast Mum stayed at last year, and have booked two nights there. I also looked up some deals for Seaworld on the gold coast, and there is an awesome one where its only $125 per person and you get three nights stay at Sea World nara resort, a full day at Seaworld and a night show into the Australian Outback spectacular at Movieworld included in the price. It all up is worth $750 twin share. I have to ring tommorow to book it for the 25th, 26th and 27th of March which will be a nice break for us!It means stevie only has to take the monday off, whilst I have banked hours owed to me which I can use. I havent stayed at Nara resort since I was about 12, and I love Seaworld.

Phew! I have sat on the couch for the last hour eating my sushi and iced pepsi max enjoying a breeze and watching some black and white movie I never got the title for. Stevie is due home soon, tonight I'm making mexican pasties, some spanish rice and salad for dinner.

I'll get back to relaxing and will post pics when stevie gets home!
