Flowerbomb

My summeriest Dress

Pizza, Vogue and Mountain Dew (honey dew) drink...Yum!

Instead of chocolates I got Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume which I have wanted for ages, It was too expensive in Scotland at about 100 pounds plus for a teeny bottle and in Hong Kong it was about $110000 hk dollars! We didnt realise everything bar pizza hut would be closed! So we had a lay in, and got some pizza for lunch and spent the rest of the early afternoon either reading Vogue on the balcony or playing virtual pool( hes a pool shark our stevie). I already told stevie today that for my birthday which is still 6 months away that I want a hi tech sewing machine, the hi-tech bit to make up my lack of all technique and skill! I'm really looking fwd to Pottsville next week, because its going to be ANZAC day on the Tuesday, nothing is allowed open till after 1pm, so we'll bring down things for the bbq, and because it will only be us, we'll take the xbox and some dvds down for lazy around in the middle of the day when its too hot to swim. I cant wait to get into that river again! I'm looking up some really nice baking recipes as I wanna bring down some brownies and picnic like food to make gourmet
sandwiches and fruit and ginger beer and bbqs for night. Were out for a late lunch with everyone, we'll take some pictures later. Miss you all xxx

Isis Desa

Stevie took these photos off a collage of photos from my Mum's house, which is why you can see my lil belly naked on the side of one of them.

Me at about a year old

Me at about 2-3 years old

Eeeck me at about 7-8 years

Well were back from the bbq, it was me and stevie, dad and mum, aunty di and marion, keith, madeline and courtney.
We had prawns, macadamia crusted baramundi, mackrel, pork and steak with lots of salads and breads with almond slivered meringues and chocolate mud cake for dessert. We brought desa with us and Aunty Marion brought her lil dog Bonnie and well lets just say Desa wasn't on his best behaviour. He growled at Isis for about 40 minutes, he hissed and squaked at Stormy, and generally was a very bad news bear! He ended up sitting in his little bed for half the night and was very quiet on the way home. We obviously wont be getting any more kitties with him being such a spoilt brat!
Here are a few photos from tonight.

Snap Happy

Were taking Desa over to the house, so we'll take some photos of the cats together!
In the mean time heres some of us!

Good FriDAY

Today being good friday is quite hot and sunny in Brisbane, we awoke (well Stevie did!) late and had pancakes for breakfast and are going to Mum's for a late lunch.
I gave out the Easter Eggs I had bought for Stevie and Dad today being a non traditionalist. My Aunty Di is going to fix up some of the dresses that don't fit me, I'm going to Paddington tommorow when Stevie is at work and then on Sunday we have Easter Sunday lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel. I'm really looking forward to 4 days off as work of late has been VERY stressfull!

I got stevie a care bears easter egg box as the first night we met, on his birthday, damage, ash and I got him a care bear which he subsequently burnt.

The phone call!

My Mum and My Aunty Di got the transplant phone call tonight at 7.30pm that she needed to be up at the hospital tonight within the next 2 hours. She needs to undergo some tests before she has the operation which will go for approx 10 hours. They believe she will get operated on throught out the night. I have to go to work tommorow as we are understaffed but I'm going to try to get a lil time off as there needs to be someone in intensive care with her in shits.
Everyone think happy and positive thoughts for her, its fitting its happening at Easter time as she is very religious. My uncle Mal is trying to organise a plane ticket from Darwin to get here for the morning.

My mum had been saying just last weekend how my Aunty really needed the transplant soon as she was just so weak and ill, it is quite sad to think that for my Aunty to have a second chance at life, someone elses family member had just died.

The Weekend.

New Farm Park

Abbott Street

Brisbane City River Walk at New Farm

Breakfast Creek Hotel

New Farm, Newstead Park

We had quite a food filled weekend! On friday night my Mum and Aunty Di stayed at our house as all the furniture was being moved out of their house. I made spinach, basil, sundried tomato and pine nut fettucini. Stevie and I both had to work on Saturday but after it all we went out to the Newmarket Hotel which is just down the road from us. Its been renovated and is quite slick, my dad used to go there when he was really young. We had some really nice turkish bread with sweet potato and cumin dip, houmous and a sweetchilli dip. I then had a thai curry, stevie and mum had 400gram rump steaks and dad had a tasting platter with calamari, spring rolls, scallops and dips. Stevie had a passionfruit and strawberry cheesecake.
The next morning, we went to Rics cafe in the Fortitude Valley for breakfast, there was a small market on aswell, I had a some lovely homemade canneloni baked beans with spinach and toasted turkish bread. Mum and Stevie had the full cooked breakfast which was massive! We then went for a drive to Newfarm which is the next suburb along, beside the water and took a trip down memmory lane. We went into newstead park which at 10am was full of bbqs and party sets ups and dad told us about when he was 17-18 him and his friend were smoking illegal grass based drugs and got chased by the police in dads hotted up green monaro and they took out 3 rows of the famous roses that fill the park. Mum and Dad lived on Abbott street in New Farm when I was just a lil spodling.
After dropping stevie off to work, we drove through ashgrove and the gap where I used to live when I was 11-14, and went past my old school Hilder Road State School. We visited my Aunty Marion and Keith at Ferny grove and organised to go the Breakfast Creek Hotel for easter sunday seafood and steak with them.
Stevie has tommorow and wednsday off, and I cant wait till Friday! Yeahhhh Yeahh!
I will post some pictures of some of the dresses that I have won in the last week.
I had some visions of Lou dressed for her party a lil like a russian tea lady, with a lovely vintage like dress, some tights, curled hair in a loose bun and her gorgeous greeny shoes that have a buckle on them.
Hope yr all well xxx

Hailstones and Bat wings

We spent today looking up a companion for desa and isis, stevie did anyway! the two we like the most are singapura's and egyptian mau's. We wanted a savannah which is a wild cat but your not allowed them in Australia. Not to worry we aren't adding to our happy family anytime soon, but its still good to window shop. We got some pizza for lunch today and then went over to Brookside to get stevies money back from medicare for going to the doctors, there we went into the best lil shop called Anthenas which has some beautiful things, stevie got me a lovely bird broach from there a few weeks back, Judy would love it so much, I went through it going I like that that that and that!
We then went to dads work to see some kangaroos, its about 30 minutes away and we went on a lovely drive past Mt Cootha botanical gardens and quite posh hilside suburbs like bardon and towoong. It was unusually hot today and there were dark clouds about and we only saw about 100 kangaroos, with about 10 being really close. After that we stopped for icecream on the way home, and had a nap with the airconditioner on, but were awoken by a huge HUGE storm,it hailed for a lil while and we continued to have thunder and lightning for nearly 2 hours. I got up and turned off the airconditioner and then sat on the balcony watching it with Desa who handled it pretty well, after the first 45 mins, when the rain wasnt as bad an influx of bats came by,one which was so close it nearly stopped on our roof.
